Food factories handle a wide range of soils. A bakery may be dealing with flour dust, dough and baked-on residue. A meat or poultry site may need to remove animal fats and protein deposits. These soils respond differently to water temperature and chemicals. Petrol and diesel machines can be useful for external yards, loading areas and locations without suitable mains power, but they require careful planning around ventilation, fuel storage and noise.

A pressure washer is only one part of the setup. Hose length, hose reel position, lance design, nozzle choice and fittings all affect whether the team can clean safely and consistently.
Food environments are hard on equipment. Hoses are dragged around corners, lances are dropped, and connectors are repeatedly exposed to water, detergent and temperature changes. Cheap accessories soon become a false economy when a split hose or failed coupling holds up a cleaning shift.
